We
learned Comparison and Contrast continue from last week. We read text from Men
and Women: Do They Speak the Same Language? ,then we analyzed distinction
between the languages of men and women. Moreover, we found main idea from each
paragraph, found discourse markers, answered the questions and matched signal
expressions between thought relationships. Teacher assigned homework for us and
write it on weblog.
b. Are any of
Tannen’s points about the different personalities of men and woman true in your
native culture? Explain. Do men and women in your native culture use the
language the way Tannen claims American men and women do? Give specific examples.
And these are my point of view :
- Women are more social network of
relationships than men.
- Women are talkative.
- Women have many friends from talking.
- Men like to talk with their friends more
unknown person.
- Men talk in telling jokes with their friends.
Finally, we began to study new lesson : Cause
and Effect.
We studied cause and effect markers
I found discourse markers in this text is
easy for me. They help me in reading.
The vocabulary is difficult for me because
I’m not good in vocabulary.
Therefore I consulted dictionary.
